本作は、紙という脆弱な支持体に、?、油彩、そして熱を加えることで、素材そのものが持つ変化と時間の痕跡を画面に定着させた作品である。滲みや透過、反復される形象は、種子や細胞、あるいは大地に刻まれた記録を想起させ、生成と循環のプロセスを静かに可視化している。

制御と偶然が交差する制作過程により生まれた有機的な揺らぎは、自然と人為の境界を曖昧にし、農耕や栽培といった人間の根源的な営みを抽象的なイメージへと昇華させる。抑制された色調と繊細な構成は、画面に静謐な緊張感をもたらし、鑑賞者に時間の蓄積や生命の兆しを想像させる。

素材と行為が生み出す痕跡そのものを主題とした本作は、見る者に静かな思索の余白を与える一作である。

This work fixes traces of time and material transformation onto the surface by applying wax, oil paint, and heat to paper?a fragile support that reacts sensitively to each intervention. The bleeding, translucency, and repeated organic forms evoke seeds, cells, or imprints left in the soil, quietly visualizing processes of generation and circulation.

Emerging from a balance between control and chance, the subtle organic fluctuations blur the boundary between nature and human intervention. References to cultivation and farming?fundamental human practices?are abstracted into a poetic visual language. The restrained palette and delicate composition lend the work a sense of quiet tension, inviting viewers to contemplate accumulation, duration, and the latent signs of life.

By foregrounding material traces and the act of making itself, this work offers a contemplative space in which time and transformation can be quietly observed.

中川佳宣(なかがわよしのぶ、1964年大阪府生まれ)は、農耕や栽培といった人間の根源的な営みや植物の構造、そして人と自然との関係を独自の視点で捉える現代美術作家。1987年に大阪芸術大学美術学科を修了し、現在は滋賀県を拠点に活動している。作品は、多様な素材と巧みな技術によって、植物の構造や大地との関わりを詩的かつ哲学的に表現し、私たちの環境や生命の根源を問いかける。

Profile

Yoshinobu Nakagawa (born 1964 in Osaka Prefecture) is a contemporary artist known for his exploration of fundamental human practices such as cultivation and farming, as well as the structural forms of plants and their relationship with people and the environment. He graduated from Osaka University of Arts in 1987 and currently works from Shiga Prefecture. Nakagawa’s work uses diverse materials and refined technique to express poetic and philosophical reflections on the essence of nature, life, and ecological systems.
