リトグラフによるエディション作品(ED.50、サイン入り)である。井田幸昌は人物像を主題とした絵画で知られ、厚く重ねられた絵具の筆致によって人物の存在や時間の痕跡を画面に刻み込むように表現してきた。本作でも、その特徴的なイメージを版画として再構成している。

画面には人物の身体が連なるように配置され、抽象的な絵具の飛沫や色彩の層が重なり合うことで、人物像が現れては消えるような揺らぎが生まれている。鮮やかな色彩と暗い色調が交差する構成は、身体の存在感と同時に、時間の流れや記憶の痕跡を感じさせる。

井田の作品は「一期一会」という思想のもと、人と人との出会いや一瞬の存在を描き出すことを主題としている。本作においても、人物の姿は明確な肖像でありながら同時に匿名性を帯び、鑑賞者の記憶や感情と重なり合うイメージとして立ち上がってくる。

This work is a silkscreen edition (ED.50), signed by the artist. Yukimasa Ida is known for his paintings of the human figure, characterized by layered gestures and expressive surfaces that capture traces of time and presence. In this work, those distinctive visual elements are reinterpreted through the medium of printmaking.

Multiple human bodies appear across the composition, partially obscured by splashes of color and layered painterly textures. The overlapping pigments create a sense of movement where the figures emerge and dissolve within the surface of the image.

Ida’s work is often rooted in the concept of “Ichigo Ichie,” a philosophy that emphasizes the uniqueness of encounters and moments. In this piece, the figures function both as portraits and as anonymous presences, allowing viewers to project their own memories and emotions onto the image.

井田幸昌(いだゆきまさ)は1990年鳥取県生まれ。2019年に東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科油画専攻を修了。現在は東京を拠点に活動している。

井田は人物像を主題とした絵画で知られ、厚く重ねられた油彩の筆致によって人物の存在感や時間の痕跡を画面に刻み込むように描く。重層的に積み重ねられた絵具の層は、描かれる人物の記憶や内面、そして時間の流れを可視化する要素として機能している。

近年は「一期一会」というテーマのもと、歴史上の人物や文化人、身近な人々など多様な人物像を描くシリーズを展開している。肖像を通して個人の存在と、その人物が生きた時代や文化、歴史との関係を浮かび上がらせる点が特徴である。国内外の美術館やギャラリーで展示を行い、国際的に活動を広げている。

Profile

Yukimasa Ida (born 1990 in Tottori, Japan) completed his MFA in Oil Painting at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2019 and is currently based in Tokyo.

Ida is known for his portrait paintings characterized by thick layers of oil paint and dynamic brushwork. Through these layered surfaces, he captures not only the physical presence of his subjects but also traces of memory, time, and personal history.

In recent years he has developed the series “Ichigo Ichie” (meaning “once-in-a-lifetime encounter”), portraying historical figures, cultural icons, and people close to him. Through portraiture, Ida explores the relationship between individuals and the cultural and historical contexts in which they exist. His work has been exhibited internationally in museums, galleries, and art fairs.
