The motif of this piece is the protagonist of Osamu Tezuka’s iconic manga Black Jack. The distinctive hairstyle with black hair and a white streak, the sharp gaze, and the cape-like silhouette evoke the recognizable image of the character at the center of the composition.

Vivid colors such as blue, red, and yellow, combined with thick layers of paint and rough textures, transform this pop culture reference into a dynamic painterly surface. The contrast between flat graphic imagery and the physical materiality of paint creates a visually powerful composition.
